About the Position
Jmajas Pty Ltd T/A Gin Gin Hotel ( ABN:34 524 471 090) - Gin Gin QLD 4671A historic hotel (GIN GIN HOTEL) in Queensland requires a full-time Chef in a permanent role.We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified Chef to assist in running our large and busy restaurant kitchen. The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following duties:A skilled, qualified, experienced and hardworking Chef required for GIN GIN HOTEL, QUEENSLAND. Position Description of a Chef @ GIN GIN:1. Supervise the preparation of all foodEnsure all food is prepared as per food preparation requirementsEnsure meals are produced on time, and sufficient quantities are available for the various areasMaintain stock levels of all kitchen suppliesPrepare daily pastry requirements as per the menuBe available for functions as they arise to ensure that the food is prepared and served as required2. Oversee and supervise all kitchen staffTeach new staff skills they require to perform their roles to the required standard Delegate duties to kitchen staff as per the menu requirements3. Manage kitchen stocksEnsure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food preparation methodsEnsure proper hygienic storage methods are utilised to prevent food lossOversee the ordering and control of stock levels4. Ensure kitchen staff are working safely at all times Ensure staff are aware of and follow safe work practices at all timesAssist other staff in the cleaning of the kitchen at the end of the shiftEnsure his/her own workstation is kept clean and hygienic at all timesSalary :$50,000 - $60,000 At least 2 years of work experience required. Qualifications:AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
